Dyno tune vs ecu flash
Dyno tune vs ecu flash

So again, my question, Why would you spend ~$500 on a flash when you can get a true dyno tune for the same amount? Where as a tune, which is specifically for your car and how it is reacting to each modification you have made and what your goals are, is the same price (well actually cheaper) and more reliable. I don't really see the thought process behind spending $550(ish) on a flash, which is pretty much a shot in the dark with tuning, I mean they aren't specific to how your vehicle runs or reacts to a mod (which does vary between vehicles and different manufacturers of the part). My question being, why do you all get flashes, instead of dyno tunes, when you put new mods on your car? I drive a 06 Wrx and whenever anybody gets an exhaust, intake, injectors, almost anything short of a turbo upgrade or rotated kit we get a dyno tune. Now when I heard how much the flash cost I was quite surprised for a simple flash it cost $500+. My buddy, a member on here, drive a B6 A4 and just recently did a test pipe install and then went and got a flash. Now before I go off talking about all this tuning and flashing stuff, I'll start off by saying I don't drive a Audi, the Audi world is completely unknown to me almost although I do know about how cars work and blah blah.
